To commemorate World Humanitarian Day, the United Nations Foundation and the Alliance for Malaria Prevention will be hosting a webinar titled “Health for All: Including Refugees and Internally Displaced People in Malaria Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment Services in Sub-Saharan Africa.” The webinar will feature remarks from representatives from the RBM Partnership to End Malaria, UNHCR, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda malaria programs.

National malaria programs will share and discuss successes, challenges, and lessons learned in malaria prevention and control in challenging operating environments to identify best practices and opportunities to reach refugees and internally displaced persons in sub-Saharan Africa.


Dr. Michael Adekunle Charles, CEO of the RBM Partnership to End Malaria, delivers insightful opening remarks at the World Humanitarian Day webinar, "Health for All: Including Refugees and Internally Displaced People in Malaria Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment Services in Sub-Saharan Africa."

This event, hosted by the United Nations Foundation and the Alliance for Malaria Prevention, convened experts from the RBM Partnership, UNHCR, and national malaria programs from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda to discuss key strategies, successes, and challenges in providing malaria prevention and care in some of the most challenging environments in the world.
